Emagination Island is a multi-disciplinary learning adventure system that teaches kids to play with purpose so they find a cause to champion and build books, websites, animated videos, podcasts, and theme park rides to learn how to imagine, create, and give.

Our Story

For the past decade, Clarissa's students have been crafting children's books about causes they care about most and raising $500,000 for charity by selling their own wares. Now, we're building Emagination Island, a multi-disciplinary learning adventure system that teaches kids to play with purpose so they find a cause to champion and build books, websites, animated videos, podcasts, and theme park rides to learn how to imagine, create, and give. What happens when kindness and creativity become contagious? Can kids band together to change the world? Mission Kidz4Life uses the empathic power of art and creative writing to urge kids to become the heroes and heroines of their dreams (14 minutes). This film was one of the 12 finalists in North America for Spielberg's humanitarian contest. Soar With Reading

The Soar with Reading initiative is committed to encouraging early literacy development and family reading especially in under-resourced communities. Many poor communities now can be defined as “book deserts” with 830 children having to share 1 book to read. To combat this issue, JetBlue has created free book vending machines to give children access to more books! Now we’re doing what we can to help as well! See a video about it here.

Erin’s Crazy Top Hat

Welcome to My Crazy Top Hat, a multiple-story adventure that inspires kids to use their creativity for good. My Crazy Top Hat is part of Emagination Island, a multi-disciplinary learning adventure system I’m helping to build that teaches kids to play with purpose so they find a cause to champion and build books, websites, animated videos, podcasts, and theme park rides to learn how to imagine, create, and give. Since our motto is “Play with Purpose,” one of my challenges in helping to create Emagination Island was to build a Minecraft learning adventure ride that taught imagination! My 10-floor interactive Crazy Top Hat teaches kids creativity through a zombie museum, elephants the size of coffee beans, a giant cherry pie, & more.
